Among the latest to receive these modern coaches are the Kannur Jan Shatabdi, Mangaluru Express, Nagercoil-Gandhidham Express, Ernakulam-Bengaluru Intercity, Gurudev Express, and Velankanni Express

Kozhikode: Even though it has been more than two and a half decades since the Indian Railways introduced LHB ((Linke-Hofmann-Busch)) coaches, which ensure better travel facilities and safety, the majority of trains under the Palakkad Division still operate with the traditional ICF coaches.
In contrast, many trains under the Thiruvananthapuram Division have recently been allotted new LHB coaches. Among the latest to receive these modern coaches are the Kannur Jan Shatabdi, Mangaluru Express, Nagercoil-Gandhidham Express, Ernakulam-Bengaluru Intercity, Gurudev Express, and Velankanni Express.
Train service to Delhi and major weekly train services like the Netravati, Venad, Mangala, and Kerala Express, also run with LHB coaches, all of which belong to the Thiruvananthapuram Division.
Meanwhile, major train services under the Palakkad Division such as Maveli Express, Malabar Express, West Coast Express, Ernad Express, Parasuram Express, and the Intercity Express have yet to be upgraded with LHB coaches.
