Kollam: Former DGP B Sandhya said that corruption is low in countries governed by women. She was inaugurating the women’s conference held in Ochira as part of the Vrischikolsavam festival.
She said that the reason is society does not even tolerate minor mistakes made by women. There have been no known issues arising from women’s reservation in local governance. Women should step forward to ensure that reservation for women in the Lok Sabha is implemented as soon as possible, she added.
Kollam City Police Commissioner Kiran Narayanan presided over the function. B Anju and Aarathi Jipin Nath spoke at the event.
