Pathanamthitta: Senior Congress leader PJ Kurien slammed MP Rahul Gandhi for posing a hurdle to the position of the president of Indian National Congress. In an interview given to a vernacular weekly, PJ Kurien condemned Rahul Gandhi as a leader who has ‘no stability’ and who ‘always escapes from responsibilities’.
It is because he has no stability that he left the position of INC president when the party was going through a tough time. A captain should devise a way to rescue his crew and ship when they are caught in a huge storm. But, here, Rahul has escaped from his responsibilities, Kurien said. He opined that this has led to the party facing failures in the elections. Though Rahul does not hold any office still he is the one who takes crucial decisions, added Kurien.
Kurian stated that the Congress has deteriorated as a party with no group decision-taking and senior leaders not being considered in the party.
