Thiruvananthapuram: A decision regarding Trinamool Congress leader PV Anvar’s entry into the UDF will be taken only after discussing the matter with the other constituent parties in the front, said Opposition Leader VD Satheesan. While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Satheesan said that he had met Anvar in connection with the byelection in Nilambur. “A decision will be taken after discussing the suggestions put forward by Anvar within the party and the front,” he said.

“Anvar has expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Congress and the UDF. He has put forward some suggestions regarding the manner of this cooperation. The matter will be discussed within the party and the front before arriving at a decision,” Satheesan said.

“Anvar has assured complete support for any candidate announced by the UDF. The Congress has not placed any proposal before Anvar. What we have asked is about the manner or form of cooperation promised by Anvar. His support in the Nilambur byelection is quite crucial,” he said.
