Kozhikode: Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar has directed KSRTC drivers and conductors to ensure buses stop at night wherever elderly women and mothers with babies request.

He emphasised that they should not refuse to stop, adding, "No one will take action against you. If any action is taken, come to me, and we’ll resolve it." The minister reminded the KSRTC employees that their primary responsibility is to ensure passengers are transported safely and with care.

Addressing the issue of KSRTC's financial performance, the minister stated that all 93 depots will be made profitable within the next three months. For those that cannot turn a profit, efforts will be made to ensure they operate without incurring losses. Currently, except for 15 depots, all others are either operating at a profit or functioning on a no-profit, no-loss model, the minister added.
