Thiruvananthapuram: Minister G Sudhkaran dismissed the claims of finance minister Thomas Isaac over KSFE raid. He pointed out that vigilance has no evil intention while carrying out the raid.
“Chief Minister has responded in the right way over KSFE raid. A raid was conducted in my department also. I was also unaware about the plans of Vigilance raid. But such moves will not affect us. Vigilance is free to investigate at any time. Only they can probe on some irregularities,” said Sudhakaran.
He noted that Vigilance has carried out a normal probe on KSFE.
“A normal probe was carried out at KSFE. If Vigilance finds any issues, a report will be submitted to the department minister. Do we need to tarnish the image of the Vigilance for their act?,” asked Sudhakaran.
“Six months back, Vigilance raided 12 PWD offices. I came to know about it through newspaper. Being a minister, such raids will not affect me. I always take a strong action against corruption. So I feel very happy for the action taken by Vigilance for uncovering corruption,” added Sudhakaran.
