Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Financial Enterprises (KSFE) will begin its internal audit on Monday and prepare report to furnish a detailed explanation if demanded by Vigilance. KSFE claims that the ‘discrepancies’ quoted by Vigilance are unbiased procedures.

The finance department has ordered for the internal audit in the 36 branches of KSFE to counter the corruption allegation by Vigilance and prove it wrong.

Vigilance had not seized any original files from KSFE offices in the raid that was not informed to the management. But copies of chitti register, minutes and other documents were collected. No official expalantion was sought from the management. So, the internal audit will be based on the information sought by Vigilance from branch managers. It is aimed to prove the information given to media by Vigilance is false.

KSFE accepts deposits upto Rs 2 lakh as cash and above as cheque. The allegation of black money is wrong as source should be informed in bank, KSFE authorities had said. The internal audit is to solidify these explanations.
