
Kozhikode: A woman exhibiting symptoms of Nipah virus is currently undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. The patient, a 40-year-old woman from Malappuram, has been shifted to a special isolation ward.
Her condition is reported to be critical. Samples have been sent for testing, and the results are expected by Saturday morning.
The woman had sought treatment at a hospital in Kottakkal about a week ago. She was later diagnosed with encephalitis. On Friday evening, she was transferred to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
