Kottayam: Kottayam DCC is planning to file a complaint against Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. The complaint will state that the Congress leader violated directives issued by AICC general secretary Tariq Anwar, who is in-charge of Kerala, and the KPCC disciplinary committee, said DCC president Nattakam Suresh.
Suresh added that neither the office of Shashi Tharoor nor the Youth Congress informed him of the programme that the Thiruvananthapuram MP was taking part.
KPCC disciplinary committee chief Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said he does not believe Tharoor would do parallel activities. Tharoor has immense knowledge about national and international matters, he said. The senior Congress leader added that he cannot support moves to violate organisational framework.
He also said that he would not take part in Tharoor’s programme as he did not want to take sides.
The DCC president had earlier raised a complaint that he was unaware of the event attended by Tharoor in the district.
