Tradition and guidance played key roles
Principal Dr. K K Bindu expressed pride in the college's rich Ayurvedic tradition that spans over a century, attributing this achievement to the guidance of Arya Vaidya Sala's founder, Vaidyaratnam P. Sankunni Varier, along with former Managing Trustee Dr. P.K. Warrier and current Managing Trustee Dr. P.M. Varier. Their support has been instrumental in reaching this milestone.
The collaborative efforts of the Kerala Ayurvedic Studies and Research Society (KASRS), as well as the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, alongside the students of the college, have also contributed to this success.
Advantages of national recognition
This accomplishment is expected to attract top-ranking students to the college, as admissions for Ayurvedic undergraduate courses operate on a national scale. Furthermore, it opens avenues for enhanced patient services. With an A grade, the college can charge an additional 5 percent in fees, which will facilitate improved quality of education. The institution will also have the flexibility to include additional necessary components in its curriculum and may request an increase in student intake.
