Irinjalakuda: The Irinjalakuda Sessions Court has directed a further probe into the Kodakara black money case. The order follows a petition filed by the investigation team seeking permission for further inquiry. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) V K Raju, the head of the investigation team, approached the court through Public Prosecutor M K Unnikrishnan, based on revelations made by Tirur Satheesh, a former secretary of the BJP district committee office.

The case revolves around the transportation of BJP election funds in six sacks. The investigation revealed that the money was brought by Dharmarajan, a key witness in the case.
BJP state president K Surendran has been the primary accused in the case. However, the police investigation had earlier limited itself to recording Surendran's statement without listing him as an accused.

Tirur Satheesh had testified that Surendran was connected with Dharmarajan, who was responsible for transporting the money. Satheesh had previously claimed in media interactions that the investigation team had not adequately recorded his statement. Despite several weeks since his disclosures, Satheesh accused the authorities of taking a slow approach in the investigation.

"I have only spoken the truth, and if the police approach me again, I will share everything I know. Though I have concerns and fears, I stand by my statement," Satheesh told Mathrubhumi News.
The Kodakara black money case gained huge attention as it involved allegations of unaccounted election funds being transported under the BJP's name.
