Kochi Metro extends operating hours and introduces special Shivaratri services to manage rising passenger demand.

Kochi Metro has extended its service hours until 11 pm in view of the increase in passenger numbers and rising demand. Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) announced that the revised schedule will come into effect from February 15.
Accordingly, the last trains from Aluva and Tripunithura Terminal stations will depart at 11 pm. At present, services operate only until 10.30 pm.
In addition, special services have been arranged for the convenience of devotees in connection with the Shivratri festival at the Aluva Mahadeva Temple. On February 15, Shivaratri day, the last service from Tripunithura Terminal will depart at 11.30 pm.
On Monday, February 16, services from Aluva Metro Station will commence at 4 am. Trains will run at 30-minute intervals until 6 am, after which they will operate as per the regular schedule.
