Revaluation applications will open after SSLC results, while improvement exam results are scheduled between May and June

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala General Education Minister V Sivankutty on Tuesday confirmed the dates for the announcement of board examination results in the state.
The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) results will be declared on May 15, while the Plus Two, Vocational Higher Secondary (VHSE) results are scheduled to be released on May 22.
Revaluation applications for the SSLC examinations will be invited soon after the results are announced, with the updated outcomes likely to be released by the end of May.
Meanwhile, the results of the Plus Two second-year improvement examinations are set to be declared on May 8.
The first-year improvement results are expected to follow later, with the announcement scheduled for June 10.
Special evaluation for students affected in Gulf region
The state has also put in place a special evaluation system for students who were impacted by disruptions to board examinations in the Gulf region.
A total of 633 SSLC students who could not appear for their examinations will be assessed using their performance in model or term examinations. In addition, they will be given grace marks as part of the evaluation process.
Alternative assessment method for higher secondary students
For 592 higher secondary students, a different approach has been adopted. Their first-year marks will be used as the base for evaluation.
These marks will then be combined with second-year Continuous Evaluation (CE) scores and practical marks to arrive at their final results.
Relief extends to Kerala students in Gulf during exams
The relief measures are not limited to students studying abroad. They also cover Kerala students who were temporarily in the Gulf region during the examination period and were unable to attend their board exams due to the disruption.
