Thiruvananthapuram: After the half-yearly exams, Assistant Education Officers (AEO) and District Education Officers (DEO) will visit schools in the state in January to assess the academic progress of students. The visits are part of an academic monitoring program aimed at ensuring students meet the necessary learning goals before class promotion.
Schools will upload exam results onto the ‘Sampoorna Plus’ portal, where education officials will review the data and classroom activities. The monitoring will continue until February 5, with a focus on students who are lagging behind, especially with the introduction of minimum marks for the eighth-grade exam this year. Teachers are required to record their observations about students' progress and share them with the visiting officials.
