Thiruvananthapuram: Parts of Kerala woke up to rain on Sunday as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast thunderstorms and isolated heavy rainfall in several parts of the state. Seven districts are under a yellow alert today, September 20, while no yellow alert has been issued for September 21 to 23 in the forecast provided.

The yellow alert on Sunday covers Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Wayanad and Kannur. The IMD has forecast the possibility of isolated heavy rainfall in these districts.

The next yellow alert is listed for September 24, when Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod are under the alert.

Kerala school holiday tomorrow?
