When and where the holiday applies
December 9: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha, and Ernakulam districts.
December 11: Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts.
Impact on businesses
The holiday will apply to commercial establishments as well, ensuring employees are entitled to paid leave on the respective polling days.
