Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala has 2,23,558 registered overseas voters, according to the latest electoral roll released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

The updated voter list highlights the significant presence of Non-Resident Keralites (NRKs) in the state’s electoral framework, reflecting Kerala’s large expatriate population.

Constituencies with the highest overseas voters

As per ECI data, the highest number of overseas electors has been recorded in the Kuttiadi Assembly constituency in Kozhikode district, with 16,002 voters.

This is followed by:

  • Nadapuram (Kozhikode district): 12,424 overseas voters
  • Tirur (Malappuram district): 8,601
  • Kalliasseri (Kannur district): 8,097

These constituencies, particularly in northern Kerala, have traditionally seen high levels of migration abroad, especially to Gulf countries.

Kerala remains one of the states with the highest number of overseas voters in India, reflecting its longstanding migration trends and strong diaspora participation in the democratic process.
