Kannur: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) ruled out the involvement of RSS in the Thalassery Fasal murder case and acknowledged the first charge sheet in the case. In the re-probe report submitted at the special court, CBI pointed out that the statement of the RSS activist Subheesh was obtained forcefully by the police.
CBI claims that Kodi Suni and his group murdered Fasal and Karayi Rajan along with Chandrasekharan were involved in conspiring the murder.
The High Court had recommended a re-probe by CBI in the murder after Fasal’s brother Abdul Sathar filed a petition in the case. The court recommended an investigation on the grounds of the statement given by Subheesh.
Subheesh had stated to the police earlier that RSS was responsible for Fasal’s murder when he was caught by the police in connection with another case. However, CBI reported that the statement was taken forcibly and requested the court to take further action by considering the first charge sheet.
