The state government has invested ₹594 crore in the three IT parks over the last five years to strengthen infrastructure and promote growth.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala’s IT sector has witnessed remarkable growth over the past five years, with 72,572 people receiving direct employment during the period. The highest number of recruitments took place in companies based around Kochi Infopark. Software exports from the IT hubs in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kozhikode have also seen a significant surge, from ₹8,000 crore in 2016–17 to ₹26,191 crore in 2024–25.
Five years ago, only 702 companies were operating across the three IT parks. That number has now increased to 1,163. Improved infrastructure in these parks has attracted several global firms, contributing to higher employment and export volumes.
In Infopark, IT space expanded from 7 million sq. ft. in 2016–17 to 9.26 million sq. ft. now. Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram grew from 8.51 million sq. ft. to 12.72 million sq. ft., while Kozhikode Cyberpark increased from just 12,000 sq. ft. to 2.88 lakh sq. ft.
Software exports from Infopark jumped from ₹3,000 crore in 2016–17 to ₹11,486 crore, while Technopark’s exports rose from ₹5,000 crore to ₹14,575 crore. Cyberpark saw a leap from ₹2.97 crore to ₹130 crore during the same period.
