CM V D Satheesan allocates ₹985.77cr for roads and bridges besides announcing new Light Metro projects for Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister V D Satheesan, who also holds the finance portfolio, announced that the Light Metro project will be implemented in the cities of Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram.
The initiative aims to place these cities at the forefront of infrastructure development.
The Chief Minister stated that this government will execute the Light Metro projects, which had been promised by successive previous governments but were never implemented. The budget has earmarked ₹20 crore for the preliminary works of the project.
In a massive push to upgrade the state's transport infrastructure alongside urban transit, the Chief Minister also announced an allocation of ₹985.77 crore dedicated entirely to the development and modernisation of roads and bridges across Kerala.
