Karikkanvilla murder was one of the criminal cases which drew considerable media and public interest in Kerala in the 1980s, which eventually led to the arrest and conviction of all the four accused. Reni George, and his three other foreign friends murder his relatives, KC George and Rachel George, an aged couple living a retired life in their home in Thiruvalla. This incident later came to be known as the "Karikkan villa double murder case", and was known to Malayalees as the plot behind the Mohanlal starer "Madrasile Mon".
