Thiruvananthapuram: Congress workers will not join BJP due to the current issues in the party, KPCC president K Sudhakaran said on Tuesday. Issues in Congress may affect UDF as well. Shibu Baby John’s criticism was meant to be constructive, he said.

Shibu had said that the leaders are putting Congress in trouble.

Sudhakaran informed that he will hold talks with the dissent leader A V Gopinath. However, he clarified that he will not go to Palakkad. Oommen Chandy and Sudhakaran had met Gopinath in Palakkad when he was dissatisfied with not getting a berth in the Assembly elections.

KPCC chief also said that he will look into the reply of the suspended Congress leader V Sivadasan Nair. He declined to comment further on the controversy over showing the diary to the media persons to prove discussions were held with Chandy.
