Air India Express flight IX798, carrying 172 passengers, arrived at Kannur airport on Sunday. Special immigration facilities were also arranged for quick clearances.

Kannur: Air India Express began operating services from Jeddah to Kannur and vice versa on Sunday. Air India Express flight IX799 took off from Kannur with 172 passengers on board. Reportedly, most of the passengers were Umrah pilgrims.

Meanwhile, Air India Express flight IX798, carrying 172 passengers, arrived at Kannur airport on Sunday. Special immigration facilities were arranged for quick clearances.

The arrangement of special prayer rooms and restrooms for pilgrims helped the airport staff to keep the crowd at immigration clearance counters in control.

Air India Express Boeing 737-800 aircraft will be operated from Kannur to Jeddah every Sunday. However, all the seats on this flight for the coming days have been filled.
