Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall in Kerala over the next three days. The forecast comes as a major relief for the state, which has been reeling under intense heat for the past few weeks.

Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued for various districts over the next few days. On March 21, 2025, Pathanamthitta and Idukki will be under a yellow alert, followed by Palakkad, Malappuram, and Wayanad on March 22, 2025. On March 23, 2025, the alert will remain in place for Malappuram and Wayanad.

The forecast indicates the possibility of isolated heavy rainfall, with expected precipitation ranging between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours. The IMD has confirmed that fishing activities will remain unaffected along the Kerala, Karnataka, and Lakshadweep coasts on March 21, 2025.
