Thiruvananthapuram: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in the northern districts of Kerala in the coming days.
Meanwhile, a yellow alert was issued on Sunday in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Wayanad districts.
Isolated heavy rainfall is predicted on Sunday in Alappuzha, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts. Yellow alert is issued in Kozhikode and Kannur districts on Monday.
Meanwhile, IMD informed that the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (VSCS) "Biparjoy," located over the east-central Arabian Sea, will likely intensify into an extremely severe cyclonic storm during the next 6 hours.
