Peerumedu: A youth allegedly hacked his wife and mother-in-law to death in Idukki on Wednesday evening. The accused, Prince, a native of Glen Mary, allegedly attacked his wife, Priyanka (30), and mother-in-law, Nesam (62), killing both. His father-in-law, Israel, was also injured in the attack.

The incident took place at a layam in the Glen Mary estate at around 7.30 pm. Preliminary information suggests that a family dispute may have led to the attack.

Israel was admitted to hospital with injuries. Peerumedu police reached the spot and initiated further investigation.
