Malappuram: A herd of wild elephants was sighted on the Nadukani Churam route in Malappuram district. The herd of five elephants, including a baby elephant, were seen roaming in the area.
This region known for its sightings of wild animals, such as elephants, tigers and deer, has also seen wild elephants approaching the road previously. A video captured by few travellers witnessed elephants moving towards the road and charging at a halted car by forcefully bumping into it.
The incident took place on Monday night. Vazhikkadavu Range officer Bobby Kumar has cautioned travellers to be vigilant.
