A 66-year-old man from Gujarat has been arrested for allegedly using smart glasses to record video inside the highly secured Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple

Thiruvananthapuram: A 66-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly filming inside the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple using a pair of smart glasses equipped with a hidden camera.
The accused, identified as Surendra, a native of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, entered the temple wearing Google Smart Glass. Security personnel grew suspicious after noticing a light flashing on the glasses while he was near the sanctum sanctorum.
Temple guards quickly alerted authorities, and the Fort Police registered a case. Initial reports suggest that some video footage from within the temple premises was captured using the device.
The use of recording equipment inside the temple is strictly prohibited due to its religious significance and high-security measures. An investigation is currently underway to determine the extent of footage and motive behind the act.
