Payyoli: The SSLC results of Gopika, who was killed by her father about a month ago, is being celebrated by none. She got a good result of 9 A plus and one A in the exams. It was a day after writing the SSLC exams that Gopika and her sister Jyothika were poisoned to death by their father Sumesh. He then took his own life by jumping in front of a train. Their mother had passed away three years ago due to Covid.

When the results of TS GVHS school Payyoli were announced, everyone was looking for Gopika’s results. Her success was expected owing to the fact that she was a good student. But the same success is now adding to their pain of having lost Gopika in such a tragic manner.

“When I think of that child…” Gopika’s teacher could not complete the sentence. She excelled both in curricular as well as extra-curricular activities, her teachers said. She was a good singer too as her group won A grade at the state school youth festival.
