Kozhikode: In a tragic incident, a father and his two daughters were found dead in Ayyanikad village in Payyoli. The deceased were identified as Sumesh (42) and his daughters Gopika (15) and Jyothika (10). While Suresh was found dead on a railway track, lifeless bodies of his daughters were recovered from their house.

Police suspect  Sumesh to have jumped in front of the train after killing his children by poisoning them. The officials spotted the body of Sumesh at 8:30 AM today, just after the Parasuram Express had passed by. As the investigation launched, the police could identify the deadbody. 

As the police reached the house of Sumesh later, they found his daughters lying dead inside the room. Swapna, the mother of the children, had passed away a couple of years ago suffering from Covid. Payyoli police have registered a case and started the investigation.
