Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: In a heartbreaking incident in Kadakkavoor, an 11-year-old girl lost her life after the auto-rickshaw she was travelling in overturned when a stray dog suddenly jumped across the road.
The deceased, Sakhi (11), a Class VI student of S.S.P.B.H.S. School, Kadakkavoor, was returning home with her parents after a PTA meeting when the accident occurred. Her father was driving the auto-rickshaw.
The incident took place around 3:30 PM on Tuesday near Prabhat Junction, close to the Kadakkavoor Overbridge. A stray dog suddenly ran across the road, causing the auto-rickshaw to lose control and overturn.
All three occupants were seriously injured and rushed to the Chirayinkeezhu Taluk Hospital. Unfortunately, Sakhi could not be saved.

Sakhi’s body is currently kept at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College mortuary.
