Thiruvananthapuram: The Food Safety department conducted inspections in 3,340 food outlets across Kerala in the one-day-long operation that happened on Wednesday.
According to the media release issued by the state government on Thursday, the department ceased operations of 25 outlets in which grave lapses were found.
They also issued rectification notices to 134 outlets. A total of 1,470 outlets have been issued with non-compliance-related notices.
A total of 132 special squads were part of the operation. The inspections by the squads will continue, the release said.
