Mumbai: On his 70th birthday, superstar Kamal Haasan unveiled exciting news for his fans. The actor announced that his much-awaited film, Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, will be released on June 5, 2025. Kamal shared the first poster of the film on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
The striking red-toned poster features Kamal in a rugged new look, with long hair and a thick beard. The poster also hints at the film's action-packed nature, with Kamal's co-star Silambarasan appearing alongside him.

Kamal’s gritty new role in Thug Life
Thug Life marks Kamal Haasan's 234th film, where he plays the tough and gritty character Rangraya Sakthivel Nayakar. The film promises a gripping tale of underworld survival, with intense fight sequences that showcase Kamal's skill in portraying a hardened, battle-worn character. His performance is expected to bring a raw, authentic touch to the portrayal of a man living the "thug life," confronting dangers head-on with grit and determination.
