Thiruvananthapuram: Indian Railways has assigned additional coaches for Jan Shatabdi Express trains in the state to alleviate the rush over the Christmas holidays. 

Additional coaches are assigned to Thiruvananthapuram- Kozhikode Jan Shatabdi Express (12076) and Kozhikode- Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi Express (12075) on December 22, 23, 24 and 25.

Meanwhile, new coaches are also assigned to Thiruvananthapuram-Kannur Jan Shatabdi Express (12082) has been allotted extra coaches on December 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and Kannur- Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi Express (12081) on December 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26.
