
Kochi: For 1,000 families across Kerala, the dream of owning a home has become a reality, thanks to the Mathrubhumi-K Chittilappilly Foundation’s ‘Ente Veedu’ initiative. The foundation officially marked this milestone on Friday at Chittilappilly Square in Kakkanad.
The initiative, launched to support families struggling without homes, has now met its initial target. On Friday, the last six houses in Ernakulam district were handed over, bringing the total to 1,000. Each house was built with Rs 4 lakh in support from the K Chittilappilly Foundation.
A gathering to mark the occasion
Several dignitaries attended the event, including K Chittilappilly Foundation Chairman Kochouseph Chittilappilly, Mathrubhumi Chairman and Managing Editor P.V. Chandran, Managing Director M.V. Shreyams Kumar, K Chittilappilly Foundation Executive Director Dr George Sleeba, Joint Executive Director B. Jayaraj, Mathrubhumi Directors M.S. Mayura and M.S. Devika, K Chittilappilly Foundation Social Initiatives Director M.S. Vinod, and V. Sathyanarayan, Managing Partner at Varma & Varma, Chartered Accountants.
