Thiruvananthapuram: A complaint has been filed against former KSU state convenor Ansil Jaleel for owning a fake degree certificate.
The register number on his B.com degree certificate and the VC’s signature on it was found to be fake, during a verification by exam controller Gopakumar. He has filed a complaint with the DGP.
“Certificates with such serial numbers were not issued during the time period,” he said.
However Ansil has claimed that he is innocent and denied any wrongdoing. He has filed a complaint in the police station demanding a detailed probe into the incident, and denied his role in creating the fake certificate.
The controversy is considered a major blow to KSU, which is at present engaged in state-wide protest against the fake certificate charges levied on several SFI leaders in colleges across Kerala.
