Kochi: Agali Police have recovered the print of the experience cerificate submitted by former SFI leader and PhD scholar K Vidya, accused of forging documents to secure a guest lecturer post. The print out has been recovered from an internet cafe in Palarivattom here. The development comes after the probe based on the e-mails recovered from Vidya’s phone.
The cafe was shut down a year ago. However, police quizzed the owner. Technical experts were also roped to confirm whether Vidya took the print from the cafe itself.
Earlier, Vidya maintained that she had destroyed the document submitted to the college.
Vidya is accused of forging an experience certificate, claiming to have worked as an 'assistant professor on contract’ at Maharaja’s College, to apply for temporary teaching jobs in government colleges. Attappady Government College principal, who doubted the authenticity of the certificate, alerted Maharaja’s College who inturn found the document forged with fake letterhead and seal.They immediately filed a complaint with the police.
Another accusation is that the reservation-related rules were violated during Vidya's PhD admission at Kalady Sree Sankaracharya Sanskrit University.
