Kochi: The Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court (Court No. 7) has admitted the complaint filed by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) in the Exalogic-CMRL case. The decision comes after the court found that prima facie offences under the prescribed charges are maintainable. Consequently, summons will be issued to the accused, including Kerala CM's daughter Veena Vijayan. This marks a major step forward in the SFIO's probe.
The court took this step after being convinced that the allegations in the complaint, if proven, could constitute an offence. The next step will be the issuance of notices to the individuals named as accused.
According to sources, further proceedings in connection with the case are expected as early as next week.
The court’s observation that a prima facie case exists against all accused has come as a major boost for the SFIO.
