Koothattukulam: It is learnt that the prize-winning ticket of Rs 5 crore Pooja Bumper lottery was sold at Koothattukulam in Ernakulam. The ticket with the number RA 591801 was sold by Jacob Kurian who runs a lottery stall near Kizhakombu. Jacob bought the tickets from Sientas Lucky Centre near KSRTC stand.

After the lottery results was announced, people started flocking to Jacob’s shop. He has been running the lottery shop for 15 years. Jacob was informed of the first prize winning ticket by the agency staff. Jacob had bought 10 tickets of RA series and sold all. But he does not remember all the buyers. Though he tried to contact some of them, none of them was the winner.

Jacob’s family has been running business in Kizhakombu for the last 50 years. As he is physically challenged, Jacob started helping his father after schooling in Vadakara St John’s School. Later, he took over responsibilities of the shop.
