Kannur: A controversy erupted over the alleged leak of text from the autobiography of former LDF convener E.P. Jayarajan, fueling tensions within the LDF. However, Jayarajan dismissed the reports that surfaced on Wednesday, asserting that the leaked content was not from his autobiography.

Interstingly, the revelations in his book were made public while polling was ongoing in the Wayanad Lok Sabha and Chelakkara Assembly constituencies in the state.

In the book, reportedly titled 'Life of a Communist', Jayarajan criticizes the party for not listening to him when he was removed as LDF convener and also remarked that the second Pinarayi government is weak. He also questioned the candidature of Palakkad LDF candidate Sarin, remarking that "time will tell whether backing independents like him was right or wrong."

The autobiography also addresses issues surrounding Nilambur MLA PV Anvar. Jayarajan also alleged that KPCC President K. Sudhakaran is a leader of a criminal gang behind the murder of "several hundred people in Kannur."

Jayarajan dismisses reports on autobiography, claims leak was deliberate

Jayarajan dismissed the reports that surfaced on Wednesday, claiming the content was not part of his autobiography.

"The autobiography is still being written and is not finished. No one has been commissioned to publish or print the book," Jayarajan said in a statement. "I didn’t write anything that came out on Wednesday. What is being reported today is incomplete and has been deliberately leaked to create news against the party on election day. I will address this when my book is published."

DC postpones book release

Jayarajan also revealed that Mathrubhumi and DC Books had shown interest in publishing the book, but he had only told them he would "think about it and let them know." Following the text leak, DC Books released a statement announcing their decision to postpone the book's publication, which contradicts the claims made by the veteran CPM leader.

He further clarified that he had seen the book’s cover for the first time when it was made public on Wednesday, expressing confusion over how the information had been leaked. He reiterated that he had not made any such statements publicly.
