Thrissur: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a summons to MP K. Radhakrishnan, asking him to appear for questioning in connection with Karuvannur bank scam case. The questioning is to take place at the ED's Kochi office. The purpose of the questioning is to clarify matters related to the CPM's connection with the Karuvannur Bank, financial transactions related to the CPM party account and other related issues.
K. Radhakrishnan was previously the CPM's Thrissur district secretary. The ED is investigating records from that period. The current district secretary of the CPM, along with others, has already been questioned by the ED in relation to the Karuvannur case. The ED is in the final stages of its investigation into the Karuvannur case and is collecting statements before preparing the final charge sheet.
However, there has been no clarification regarding Radhakrishnan's appearance before the ED. Leaders, including former district secretary M.M. Varghese, have already been questioned by the ED.
