Thiruvananthapuram: The duty-free store that was closed inside the airport in Thiruvananthapuram has now reopened. It was reopened on Friday morning after performing Ganapathi Homam.

Thiruvananthapuram-based Max Plus company previously operated the store, which was shut down in 2018. After filing a complaint regarding the illegal alcohol smuggling worth Rs. 6 crores that were carried out by exploiting the passenger's information improperly, the CBI shut down the store.

Adani group and the international company Flamingo based in Dubai will work together to manage the store. The duty-free shop has been renovated with international standard facilities.
