Munnar: A 10-year-old boy, who had come to Munnar for a holiday with his parents, died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment after falling from the sixth floor of a resort. The deceased, Prarambh Dalal, was the son of Sagar Dalal from Madhya Pradesh.

The incident occurred on Monday night, when the boy fell from a room on the sixth floor of a resort in Chithirapuram, near Munnar's Pallivasal. He plunged through a sliding glass window. Although he was admitted to a private hospital in Angamaly, he passed away by early Tuesday morning.

The child had climbed onto a chair and was attempting to open the sliding window. However, he lost his balance, missed the step off the chair, and fell through the window. The cause of death is believed to be skull injuries.

The Vellathooval Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
