CPM worker taken into custody in connection with document forgery at MSM college

Kayamkulam: A former SFI leader in Kayamkulam is alleged to have helped Nikhil Thomas in creating a fake degree certificate. Rumours related to the same have emerged within the party. The suspected individual, who is a native of Kandalloor, is said to be working as a teacher outside Kerala at present. Earlier, he used to run an agency which helped students in securing admissions in various universities. Involvement of few other local leaders in the scam is also being probed. 

Meanwhile, police have taken a CPM worker into custody in connection with the document forgery case at MSM college, on Wednesday morning. The person who is said to be a close ally of Nikhil, is being quizzed. The CPM worker is known to have accompanied Nikhil to Thiruvananthapuram earlier this week, and is also accused of plotting his escape. 

Investigations are happening in full swing, police are talking to Nikhil’s friends as well.
