Ernakulam: Police have nabbed another person in connection with the forgery case involving former SFI leader Nikhil Thomas. Saju Sasidharan, the agency owner, who aided Thomas in getting a fake degree certificate was held. He had been on the run and was nabbed from a hideout in Palarivattom here.
Meanwhile, the custodial remand period of Thomas will end on Friday.
According to the case, Thomas possessed a fraudulent graduation certificate for getting MCom admission to MSM College, Kayamkulam. For PG admission at the college, Thomas submitted a degree certificate from Kalinga University in Chhattisgarh, which reportedly was fake. Police are suspecting the involvement of more individuals in the case as well.
