Revelations on custodial death of Tamir Jifri
In a latest revelation, MLA PV Anvar has released a phone conversation involving SP Sujith Das, revealing that the death of Tamir Jifri in police custody was due to neglect of crucial medical information. The conversation discloses that two MDMA packets ingested by Jifri were unknown to both the police and other individuals present. One of these packets ruptured Jifri’s stomach, leading to a critical condition where 90 percent of his arteries were blocked, potentially causing a fatal heart condition. Jifri was held at the station for four hours before being sent to the hospital. Had the severity of his condition been known earlier, he could have been taken to the hospital sooner. The involved police officers have been granted bail, and an investigation is underway.
