Thiruvananthapuram: The demand of Kerala Congress (B) [KC(B)], a constituent of LDF, for reorganisation of state cabinet, has been overlooked by the CPM leadership, stating that there is no immediate need to consider the request as discussions. According to an agreement said to have been made when LDF returned to power in 2021, KC(B) leader KB Ganesh Kumar and Congress (S) leader Ramachandran Kadannappally would take over the ministries held by Antony Raju and Ahmed Devarkovil after 2.5 years of forming the government, which falls in November this year.
Ganesh Kumar has been expressing dissatisfaction with the administration publicly for several months, but the CPM has not responded to his grievances yet.

With still a few months left for the completion of two and a half years of the ministry, the leadership believes that reorganisation can be contemplated only after the upcoming byelection in the Puthupally constituency.
In a separate development, the NSS (Nair Service Society) replaced Kalanjoor Madhu, brother of minister KN Balagopal with Ganesh Kumar, on the Board of Directors. UDF is also closely watching the developments.
