Kondotty: The State Haj Committee has begun scrutiny of the applications for the pilgrimage. Chairman C Muhammad Faizi officially launched the process.

The committee is currently reviewing the applications submitted in the early stages. Applicants will receive their cover numbers via SMS in the coming days.

 Over 4000 online applications till date 

To date, the State Haj Committee has received 4,060 online applications. These include 710 applications from the 65 years and older category, 342 from the ladies without Mehram category, and 3,008 from the general category. The deadline for applications is September 9.

Applications can be submitted through the Haj Committee of India's website at hajcommittee.gov.in, the Kerala State Haj Committee website at keralahajcommittee.org, or the Hajj Suvidha mobile app. For assistance, help centres are available at Karipur Haj House, Puthiyara Regional Office and other regional offices across the State.
