Kondotty: The Hajj cells opened in connection with the Hajj camps under the supervision of State Hajj Committee started functioning on Thursday. There are 99 officials working under Retd SP Abdul Kareem. All the persons included in the cell are government officials. 

The travel documents, identity proofs and steel bracelets to the Hajj pilgrims would be distributed through Hajj cell. The pilgrims should collect their passport and other necessary documents from the Hajj cell counter as they reach the camp. 

The passports of pilgrims whose visas have been stamped have already reached the Hajj House. The visas of those pilgrims who had applied late through the additional seats are yet to be reached; they are expected to arrive in the next few days. 

The State Hajj camp will start operations at Karipur Airport on May 20 at around 10 a.m. The first flight, IAX 3011, of Air India Express will depart at 12.05 a.m. on May 21 and is expected to carry 166 pilgrims to Jeddah. Two more flights will be operated on the first day, which will depart at 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. respectively.
