
Munnar: The Tea County resort here, in which the coronavirus affected British native stayed, has been closed. Visitors will not be allowed inside the resort until further notice.
Resort workers said that staff who attended to the patient have showed symptoms of the disease. Most of the employees have left for their homes. The workers also said that they were not provided with any masks or sanitizers.
Meanwhile, bookings for foreign nationals in resorts and hotels have been stopped. Travel restrictions have also been brought in place for foreign nationals. A list of home stays will be prepared and those resorts and home stays that violate the directives from the government will be strictly dealt with.
It is reported that a case will be filed against the travel agent who took the foreigners from the resort. District authorities said that they are mulling to take legal actions.
